Since 2001 Audiantis GmbH has been vigorously pursuing the development of its new, innovative technology for the server based management of multimedia data: Interactive audio and video streaming. „riss 2.0“ (Realtime Interactive Streaming Services) differs significantly from conventional procedures: Up to now, streaming technology has only been used for broadcasting, i.e. for transmitting data in one direction. However Audiantis’ streaming technology can mix and encode multimedia data server-side and in realtime.
With its Live Product World, Audiantis has developed a broad portfolio for a range of different applications: Live Player, Live Mixer, Live Media, Live Help, Live Speaker and Live Translator are deployed, amongst other things, for online entertainment and E-learning, Webradio and music, content management systems and Intranet applications. From localised, measurable advertising in video streams to individually compiled music and information programs, from translation and automatically recited news content to the online transmission of live events – Audiantis’ interactive live streaming technology enables businesses, content providers, website operators and online portals to create emotional, web-based worlds of experience.
The company, with headquarters in Berlin and Tokyo, has already secured worldwide patents on its technology and can count Prof. Karl-Heinz Brandenburg, co-inventor of the mp3 format and Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology as investor, adviser, business partner and active supporter of Audiantis GmbH. According to Prof. Brandenburg, Audiantis’ iMedia server is “technologically highly innovative and a clear positive example in our otherwise underdeveloped high tech landscape.” Parallel to this, Audiantis has built up a high profile network of leading technology, sales and cooperation partners.
